Kim Cloninger

Senior Pastor / Email

Rev. Kim Kelton Cloninger is the Senior Pastor at Goddard.  In June 1983, upon graduating from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University Kim was appointed Associate Pastor at Goddard. Kim is a native of Fort Smith and completed her undergraduate degree at Hendrix in Conway, Arkansas. She has been an ordained elder since 1985. In June 2016 Kim was appointed the Senior Pastor at Goddard.  Kim and her husband, Bob, have two adult sons, Robert and Mark.  Kim and Bob have one granddaughter, Caroline Cloninger.

George Mann

Choir Master & Organist / Email

George A. Mann obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Church Music and Vocal Performance from Ouachita Baptist University, and a Master's Degree in Sacred Music from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. The years that followed have seen additional post-graduate study in voice, piano, organ, and the German language.  

George is Choirmaster/Organist at Goddard United Methodist Church in Fort Smith, a post that he has held since September of 1985.  He is also on the adjunct faculty of the University of Arkansas Fort Smith, where he teaches Music Appreciation, and does supplementary accompanying for faculty and student studio work and recital.  Recent years have seen Mr. Mann heavily involved in regional musical theater, when he generally provides accompaniment for local productions, as well as serving as musical director.  He has served as musical director for the productions of the Fort Smith Little Theatre for the last 23 seasons.

George is an enthusiastic accompanist, having concertized in various venues with sopranos Marilyn Mims of West Palm Beach Florida, Christine Donahue of Conway, Arkansas, and Barbara Tucker of Houston, Texas.  These venues have included operatic repertoire, as well as spiritual, gospel, and inspirational music, and have taken place in several churches and concert halls around the US and Europe.

Under George’s direction, the Goddard choir provides for weekly worship at Goddard, but has also been able to travel to perform in Vienna, Austria, Coventry England, and in various churches and locations throughout the Southwestern US.  

Sami Sue Welch

Associate Director of Music / EMAIL

Sami Sue Welch began her professional teaching career in Ozark, AR in 1986 teaching elementary music, fine arts survey, and directing high school choir.  She also served as the choir director at Ozark First United Methodist. She joined the US Army reserves in 1989 as a computer programmer, and became the choir director at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Ft. Smith. In 1990 she joined the Fort Smith Public School District, teaching elementary music at Tilles Elementary, and is still there.  She joined the music staff at Goddard United Methodist Church in 1994.

Her degree is in vocal music from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia.  In 2010 she received her National Board Certification. Sami Sue has performed in numerous venues across the United States and Europe. 


Keri Cousins

Children's Director / EMAIL

Keri Cousins is a life-long United Methodist from Fort Smith.  She grew up in and participated in the children's and music ministries at First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith before attending college at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas.  There she studied vocal music education and graduated with her Bachelor's of Music degree in 2007.  Keri began her teaching career at Alma Public Schools as a middle school choral director and assistant high school choral director.  In 2010 Keri joined the staff at First United Methodist Church of Sallisaw, OK as the Director of Music Ministries. In 2013 she also became the Director of Children's Ministries.  Keri joined the staff at Goddard in March of 2017.  Keri has one son named Aiden.  Keri and Aiden also love their dog, Jasmine.

Donny Dixon

Youth Director / email

Donny Dixon accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in September of 2006, and was called into ministry.  He joined the United States Air Force in July of 2008. He served for 6 years as active duty and currently serves as a reservist. He and his wife Amber married in December of 2008.  He has been a member of the Kiwanis noon club since September of 2015 where they help children in our community. Donny became our custodian in February of 2017.  In February of 2018 he became our Youth Director.  He and his wife Amber have a daughter named Mary.


Sue Peerbolte

Director of Weekday Ministries / Email

Sue Peerbolte is the Director of the Goddard Preschool and Early Learning Center. She began working at Goddard in August of 1993.  She has a degree in Childhood Development from the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.  Sue loves children and caring for them during their early life.  She and her husband Jerry have two adult sons, Timothy and Michael.  Sue also loves her 3 dogs. 

Deborah Moore

Administrative Assistant / EMAIL

Deborah began working at Goddard UMC in August 2014. Deborah is a member of our congregation who, with her husband Bill, sings in the Chancel Choir. She has both a clerical and management background, as well as love for this congregation. Deborah and Bill were married in the Methodist Church in November 1975.  They have two married children and three grandsons.

Michelle Greenfield

Financial Administrator / Email

Michelle began working for Goddard Weekday Ministries in February 2001 as a Toddler Teacher.  During this time, she completed her accounting degree at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.  In May 2011 she became the Financial Administrator.  She and her husband, David, have three children, Luke, Faith, and John.  They enjoy spending time together, especially outdoors.  She loves being a part of Goddard and is very thankful for this wonderful congregation.

Don Holland


Don Holland semi-retired in 2014 and moved from North Dakota to Arkansas to be near family.  He also came to Goddard that same year.  He is a ASE certified master truck equipment mechanic and a certified welder.  He and his wife Jeannie were married at Goddard in April of 2017. Don loves animals, especially his horses and his dog, Levi.

Timothy Peerbolte


Timothy Peerbolte has been the drama teacher at Greenwood High School since 2006.  He has a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theater and Education from Oklahoma City University. Timothy has been a member of Goddard since he was 8 years old.  He began working in our Audio/Visual ministry in 2007.  He and his wife Cara were married in 2014.  They have two dogs and enjoy boating and relaxing at the lake.
